Founded in Downtown McKinney, 209 Salon and Extensions Studio has grown into five locations across North Texas with one goal at the center of it all: creating a place where everyone feels welcome, comfortable, and taken care of the moment they walk in.

Since Rich and Emilie Whitaker took ownership in 2013, the salon has continued to grow through education, community, and a genuine love for helping people feel confident. From custom color and curly cuts to our own CCIX extensions, treatments, and everyday maintenance, our team is trained to work with all hair types, textures, ages, and styles — so every guest can feel at home here.

What really makes 209 different is the balance of expertise and approachability. We’re serious about education and personalized service, but never in a way that feels intimidating.
